WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
Thoroughly recommend Growing Wild Outdoors! My 15-year-old had a ball. Snorkeling, SUP, yoga, great walks, campfires and friends. A perfect 5 days. We will be back!

Teenager, Summer 2023
I’d never been to an overnight camp before, and this one set the standards pretty high. It was so fun. I felt like I was able to connect more with myself and nature and I got such a strong sense of community. I bonded well with other campers and also the trip leaders, who were amazing.

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE
Our trips are a place where teenagers feel free. Each and every step of the way, we leverage a unique, holistic approach to give them the space they need to be unapologetically themselves.
Keeping group sizes to no more than 10 allows every participant to feel seen, heard, and valued in our community. The close-knit nature of our trips means that each teenager receives the opportunity to form the meaningful and strong connections they deserve.
It allows for flexibility and individual attention, and means that everyone can be successful on a trip – regardless of their level of outdoor experience. We approach everything with a beginner mindset, giving us the ability to meet our teenagers exactly where they are.
We give our teenagers the scope to co-create their days. While some activities are locked-in ahead of time, our itineraries provide freedom in choosing how the group or the individual would like to spend their days. Perhaps you’re an early bird and will be up at sunrise for a beach walk and meditation? Or maybe you’d prefer to rise slowly with a hot chocolate while watching the waves crash. Our itineraries let you choose the moments that are best for you.
In our modern world, many of us have lost our innate humanness – that beautiful wildness that exists in all of us. Our trips use a holistic approach to facilitate this reconnection back to one’s Wild Self.
We combine activities for the mind, such as meditation, reflection, goal-setting workshops, and yoga, with those for the body, such as camping, kayaking, and swimming. When we remember that physical and mental existences are intertwined, it allows for a meaningful connection with – and respect for – the self, the people around us, and the natural world.
What Drives Us
WE BELIEVE
Time in the outdoors is life-changing.
There’s no one else like you. We believe deeply in nurturing every teenager’s authentic self – in an inclusive community immersed in the natural world.
There are so many elements of modern life that act as barriers to connection – technology, pandemics, a 24/7 news cycle. More than ever before, we have become disconnected from ourselves, each other, and the natural world.
Teenagers feel this more than anyone.
It’s time to return to our roots, to remember what it means to be innately human. To connect, to laugh, to feel free and truly immersed in the present moment.
SAFETY
At Growing Wild Outdoors, safety is paramount. We adhere to the highest safety standards and regulations and are committed to providing a safe environment for everyone.
We take all possible precautions to ensure the safety of our teenagers. This includes conducting thorough risk assessments, providing all safety equipment for outdoor activities, and collaborating with industry bodies to ensure our safety practices remain at the highest standard. All our staff are background checked, trained in Wilderness First Aid or higher, and carry robust first aid kits at all times.
